Projection-débat :SEMIRA : 1998-2023 même constat, même combat

« Palestinians in detention », projection et discussion avec le comité des réfugiés palestiniens de Belgique, organisée par Samidoun. (La discussion aura lieu en anglais, en arabe et en français et les traductions seront assurées).

On 22 September 1998, Semira Adamu, a Nigerian asylum seeker who had been detained in the closed centre 127bis in Steenokkerzeel after her claim was rejected, was killed on the plane of her forcible deportation by three policemen who chocked her to death.
From 21st to 24th September 2023, a series of events will take place in Brussels to honor the memory of Semira and in solidarity with all the people exposed to border violence.

Samidoun Brussels is supporting this event and will, at this occasion, organize an evening around the detention of Palestinians, inside and outside of Palestine.

It will take place in DK as of 7 pm. Our speakers will be Khaled Barakat from the Masar Badil et Nermin Hwaihi from the Movement for the Palestinian Refugees in Belgium. We hope to see you there for a rich evening of exchanges.
