Enfin ! Après plusieurs mois de travaux, l'Alternatif ouvre enfin ses portes.

Nous sommes fier.es de vous inviter à notre ouverture officielle le mardi 1er octobre 2019.

Il y aura de la musique, de la nourriture pour tout le monde et bien sur une visite des lieux.

Ce sera aussi le moment d'échanger autour d'un café/ thé, et penser les activités que vous voulez voir fleurir dans votre quartier.

• l'Alternatif, c'est quoi ?

Au départ, c'est un petit groupe de personne qui vit ensemble avec l'envie de défendre un réel droit au logement à Bruxelles. De fil en aiguille, nous avons eu l'opportunité d'avoir un bail d'occupation précaire pour une durée de un à trois ans pour le 109 rue de l'été. Si le bâtiment était dans un sale état, nous nous sommes mit au boulot pour y remettre de électricité de manière sécurisée, boucher les trous du toit, repeindre,…

Et quelques mois après, c'est parti !

• Mais ça sert à quoi ?

En premier lieu, à loger plusieurs personnes. Mais ce qui nous intéresse ici, ce sont les activités. Nous voulons renforcer le lien entre les habitant.es du quartier, en proposant des moments de rencontre, de partage, d'apprentissage et de débats.

• Concrètement, quelles activités vont s'y dérouler ?

Pour le moment, nous allons organiser un cinéma de quartier, des débats, des ateliers d'informatique de manière plus ou moins régulière, mais également d'autres événements ponctuels.

Aussi, nous sommes impatient.es de vous rencontrer et de voir ce qu'il est possible de développer avec le quartier. Nous pouvons mettre à disposition gratuitement une salle polyvalente, un jardin et un hangar pour tout type d'activité socio-culturelle.

  • Présentation du projet
    
    - Projection du court métrage « Homelow » (7m30)
    
    - Explication des différents travaux effectués (avec photos avant/après)
  • Projection - Débat
    
    - Projection d'un film en rapport avec la réappropriation des bâtiments vide
    
    - On laissera le choix au personnes présentes entre 3 films (≃1h30)
    
    - La projection sera suivie d'un débat sur le droit au logement
  • Jam acoustique
    
    - Le hangar pourra accueillir une jam session ( open mic) si le coeur nous en dit
  • Bouffe et boissons
    
    - l'Alternatif proposera de la nourriture vegan à prix libre
    
    - Des boissons avec et sans alcool à prix doux
    
    - Un jus de fruit frais au profit de sans-papiers

Finally ! After several months of work, l'Alternatif opens its doors.

We're proud to invite you to our official opening on the 1st of October 2019.

They will be music, food for everybody and of course a guided tour of the place. It will also be an occasion to share around a coffee / tea, and think about the activities you want to see flourish in your neighbourhood.

• What is l'Alternatif?

Initially, it is a small group of people who live together with the desire to defend a real right to housing in Brussels. From one thing to another, we had the opportunity to have a precarious occupation lease for one to three years for 109 rue de l'été. The building was in poor condition, but we went to work to put electricity back safely, plug the roof holes, repaint, ...

And a few months later, we're here!

• But what's the point?

First, to house several people. But what interests us here are the activities. We want to strengthen the bond between the inhabitants of the district, by proposing moments of meeting, sharing, learning and debates.

• Concretely, what activities will take place there?

For the moment, we will organize a neighbourhood cinema, debates, computer workshops in a more or less regular way, but also other punctual events.

Also, we are looking forward to meeting you and seeing what is possible to develop with the neighbourhood. We can provide a multi-purpose room, a garden and a shed for any type of socio-cultural activity.

• Evening program

◦ Presentation of the project

- Screening of the short film "Homelow" (7m30)

- Explanation of the different works done (with photos before / after)

◦ Projection - Debate

- Screening of a film related to the reappropriation of empty buildings

- You will get to pick between 3 films (≃1h30)

- The projection will be followed by a debate on the right to housing

◦ Acoustic Jam

- The hangar will accommodate a jam session (open mic) if we feel like it

◦ Food and drinks

- l'Alternatif will offer free-price vegan food

- Soft and alcoholic drinks at a reasonable price

- Fresh fruit juice in favor of undocumented migrants
