Disrupt Climate Change Meetup

Join WeBrussels this Thursday to discuss what disruptive steps we can take to fight climate change!

Over the past few months we have seen extraordinary mobilisation in Belgium by citizens, students, grassroots movements and NGOs to protest against government inaction in the face of global warming. How does municipalism as practiced by WeBrussels fit within this broad public uprising, and how can WeBrussels best support it?

"Rise or Rebel?" Representatives of climate action groups Rise for Climate (R4C) and Extinction Rebellion (XR) will present their mission, past activities and future plans, highlighting the differences and complementarities of their respective philosophy and mode of operation. Their presentations will be followed by an open discussion where each participant will be invited to share their thoughts, fears, concerns, hopes and ideas about the future of our planet. The takeaway should be a list of concrete actions for WeBrussels to carry out in the runup to the Belgian and European elections in May.
