EIGE's Conference Announcement :
The European Institute for Gender Equality (EIGE) aims to contribute to and strengthen the promotion of gender equality including gender mainstreaming in all EU policies and the resulting national policies.
In this context, EIGE is organising an international conference on "Good Practices in Gender Mainstreaming : Towards Effective Gender Training".
• Where and when ?
The conference will take place in Brussels, Belgium on 28 November 2011.
• What are the conference objectives ?
To provide a platform for an exchange of good practices on gender training, facilitate a discussion on the guiding quality principles for gender training as well as to support the establishment of a thematic network of practitioners working in the field of gender training in the European Union.
To present a database of trainers and training institutions in Europe made available through EIGE's website. The database will include references to trainers/institutions with experience in providing training on gender mainstreaming for European Institutions and Member State administrations.
• Who is the target group ?
Commissioning institutions, practitioners and final users of gender training at Member State, European and international levels as well as other stakeholders.
• How to register ?
Registration will take place on EIGE's website from 19 September to 31 October 2011.
