Le 25 mai, Trump sera en Belgique pour participer à un sommet de l'OTAN. Mais qu'est-ce que l'OTAN? Elle est censée garantir la sécurité de ses Etats membres, mais ne la menace-t-elle plutôt pas? Intal vous invite à une conférence sur l'OTAN et ses guerres le mardi 23 mai à partir de 19h au Centre De Markten, 5 Marché aux Vieux Grains, 1000 Bruxelles.
Nous sommes heureux d'accueillir:
- Socorro Gomez, présidente du World Peace Council et militant de la paix au Brésil. Elle donner quelques éclairages sur l'OTAN.
- Wali Ahmad, réfugié afghan. Il témoignera de la situation dans son pays depuis les interventions.
- Helena Casqueiro, avocate et active au sein du mouvement pour la paix portugais Conselho Português para a Paz e Cooperação.
- Lina Dibeh de Syrie sur la situation actuelle dans son pays
- Iraklis Tsavdaridis, Secrétaire exécutif du WPC et actif dans le mouvement pour la paix grec.
Les interventions seront brèves, et il y aura un moment prévu pour des questions. La soirée se déroulera en anglais. De la traduction vers le français est prévue. Il y aura des snacks et un bar, et de la musique.

Trump komt naar ons land op 25 mei voor een NAVO-top. De NAVO zou er zijn om de veiligheid van haar lidstaten te garanderen, maar bedreigt ze die niet eerder?
intal nodigt jullie uit voor een conferentie over de NAVO en haar oorlogen op dinsdag 23 mei vanaf 19u in De Markten, Oude Graanmarkt 5, 1000 Brussel. We zijn blij te kunnen verwelkomen:
- Socorro Gomez, voorzitster van de World Peace Council en vredesactiviste in Brazilië.
- Wali Ahmad, vluchteling van Afghanistan. Hij brengt een getuigenis over de situatie in zijn land sinds de interventies.
- Helena Casqueiro, advocate en actief bij de Portugese vredesbeweging.
- Lina Dibeh van Syrië over de huidige situatie in haar land
- Iraklis Tsavdaridis, uitvoerend secretaris van de WPC en actief in de Griekse vredesbeweging.
De interventies zullen kort zijn, en er is tijd voor vragen. De avond zal doorgaan in het Engels. Er zullen snacks zijn en een bar, en een streepje muziek. Welkom!

Uiteraard hopen we jullie allemaal ook aanwezig te zien de dag erna, op 24 mei om 17u aan Brussel-Noord voor de "Trump not Welcome" betoging.
Trump is visiting our country on May 25th for a NATO summit in Brussels. What is NATO? Are they supposed to guarantee the security of their member states? Or do they rather threaten them? intal invites you all for a public conference on NATO and its wars next Tuesday 23rd of May from 7pm onwards in De Markten, 5 Marché aux Vieux Grains, 1000 Bruxelles.
We are happy to announce in the panel:
- Socorro Gomez, president of the World Peace Council and active peace activist in Brazil. She will give an insight on NATO.
- Wali Ahmad, refugee from Afghanistan. He will give a testimony on the situation in his country since foreign interventions.
- Helena Casqueiro, laywer and active with the Portuguese peace movement.
- Lina Dibeh from Syria on the current situation in Syria
- Iraklis Tsavdaridis, Executive Secretary of the WPC and active in the peace movement of Greece.
The interventions will be short, and there will be room for questions. The evening will be in English, with translation to French. There will be snacks and drinks, and there will be music of Hussein.
